Jonathan Van Scoy,
DNP, PMHNP-BC

Jonathan Van Scoy, DNP, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner dedicated to helping individuals improve their mental health and overall quality of life. Jon understands that seeking psychiatric care can feel overwhelming, and finding a provider you trust is an important first step. He strives to create a welcoming, supportive environment where patients feel heard, respected, and actively involved in developing their treatment plan.

Jon earned his Doctorate in Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing from Clarkson College and brings more than a decade of healthcare experience to his practice, including five years working in critical care settings and more than five years providing psychiatric care for preteens, teens, adults, and older adults.

Jon provides comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and personalized treatment planning using evidence-based practices tailored to each individual's needs. Whether you are navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, ADHD, or another mental health concern, he takes the time to understand your concerns, discuss treatment options, and develop a plan that supports your long-term well-being.

Jon believes the best patient care is collaborative. He values working closely with therapists, primary care providers, and other members of your healthcare team whenever appropriate to ensure your care is coordinated, comprehensive, and aligned with your individual needs. While psychotherapy is not his primary role as a psychiatric nurse practitioner, he incorporates therapeutic techniques into appointments when appropriate and encourages a team-based approach to mental health care.

With extensive experience treating a wide range of psychiatric conditions, Jon offers both in-person and telehealth appointments, as well as specialized treatment options including Spravato® for eligible patients.

As J.R.R. Tolkien wrote, "Not all those who wander are lost." Jon believes everyone deserves the opportunity to live a healthier, more fulfilling life. His goal is to provide compassionate, evidence-based psychiatric care that empowers patients to overcome obstacles, improve their mental well-being, and move forward with confidence.
